Goddess Brigid
Model Talia Arone with her daughter Nova. Brigid is the Goddess of hearth, home, childbirth, poetry and artists. She had 19 priestesses who would take turns lighting a fire at Kildare each night starting on Imbolc. On the twentieth night, Brigid herself would ignite the embers, which would burst into a flames.
In the middle ages, midwives would whisper to St. Brigid, who wandered through the streets, to come into the house and birthing room to assist women actively engaged in childbirth.
