She's been fully initiated into shamanic medicine by the Quechua and Tuvan shamans. Her forthcoming book was co-authored with Sandra Ingerman, while she lived in the Hoh Rainforest of the Pacific Northwest. She is the founder of the California School of Herbal Studies, author of The Science and Art of Herbalism home study course, organizer of the International Herb Symposium and The New England Women's Herbal Conference, co-founder Traditional Medicinal Tea Company, and co-founder of United Plant Savers.
