Driven to Madness

Astrologically, mercury just went direct, but it still takes a few days for people to feel the energy shift. Communication, legal matters, travel plans, appliances and electronic devices generally run amuck or malfunction. Professionally, readings have been revealing a lot of interesting material and I have been feeling very useful. H

On the bright side, my husband and I had a delightful time on our early Valentine's Day date last night. We dressed up and ate at the best Peruvian and Italian restraunt eva. Tumi Ceviche Bar and Ristorante rocks my world with it's herby, savory, and rich complexity. Their oyster ceviche is righteous and their lamb with shitaki risotto is the best thing I have ever eaten in my whole life. Their fried calamari and tiramasu made my heart dance. The whole experience was very solid, very groovy, and we had the groove juice special. We got a wonderful magical feeling from our meal and naturally proceeded to do what Cape Cod teenagers do on a date...

G-Rated Libido Talk on Morning Radio in Massachusetts

The shock jockey of Amish Paradise returns for a Love Puritan Style Valentine's Day salute.

Join me and my returning guest Anya Messina as we speak delicately on the subject of sex avoiding words like juicy, horny as hell, and engorged clitoris. If you wanna hear polite herbalist moms talk about herbal aphrodisiacs listen in here.

Anya Messina is the owner of Anya’s Herbals Pure Botanicals, mother of two, and former farm girl. Anya has studied with the godmother of herbalism Rosemary and has an advanced herbal degree from Michael Tierra’s East West Herb School of Planetary Herbology. Anya has also studied chemistry and microbiology.

When we record interviews I have a habit of picturing my church congregation. Cape Cod's population is largely of Mayflower descent, and the median age is in the upper 80s. Instead of a devil and angel, my conscience is a Greek chorus of white-haired old ladies staring at me beseechingly, plaintively, shaking their heads in disapproval. They mouth the words clearly, but in a quiet whisper: "don't be a nasty girl today". When I get these intrusive thoughts of the elderly caught like doe in the headlights of my lascivious inner comments, certain maternal, family-friendly feelings overtake me. “It's okay grannies...I'll be good," I offer. Perhaps I need some Dr. Ruths among them.

From what I have seen, the bar is set pretty low as far as mainstream media is concerned. Anything goes, right? We're post post ironic. Look at talk shows these days. Bikini Minaj and Baity Peri-fin are Coke models, er, role models for little girls these days. Ellen be all like, "Little girl shake that booty, right into the camera, no, that one. Shake it like you mean it. Like you be workin' it fo' money, girl. Damn straight. You a star. Yay, kids! Time fo' some Anaconda ice cream pops. One for every member of the studio audience!"

Meanwhile, in the real world, detention camps are treating refugees like fugitives. Weather is getting insane. Whole ecosystems and aquatic populations are going extinct and still, people carry on as if Fukushima never happened. Good time to scarf down a boatload of Tokyo sushi and get pregnant, much? All those really bad radioactive mutations take at least a couple generations, right? I've got a sushi platter from the epicenter of the worst diaster in human history. Time for a game of genetic roulette, y'all? I'll start with the spicy yellowtail...
hot is good right?

Corrections and clarifications regarding the contents of the show:
Firstly, joint pain is improved by anti-inflammatory herbs and improved circulation..so herbs that improve circulation and arterial health also help. That's the arthritis/artery connection.

Secondly, it's bladder pressure that is increased by the consumption of water. However, kidney health and kidney Qi are important for your life force energy. Therefor, drinking water improves your sexual health and desire. It's also really important if you are drinking alcohol.

The Mrs. Nice Lady Chronicles: Employing Kickass Shaman Instinct Under Duress

This week was a typical week. I was attacked by a vampire, crossed a little ghost over to the other side, and gave my version of a Jimmy Stewart speech to try to save my son's principal's job. I was also saved by four heroic gentlemen.
In a nutshell, I empathically experienced all sorts of physical ailments to understand the root causes of some new clients. Helped channel information helpful in creating a ten year business plan. Visited by dead pets who missed their masters. Connected people with their departed loved ones. Did some investigating and ghostbusting of a residence haunted by some very tragic Victorian drama. Was charged by a ghost with some very cryptic messages about events in her past. Going in I didn't get a description of the girl or what she did, but as it turns out what my client saw and experienced in her dream was the very same thing I saw and experienced in the house. And then some. When ghosts start moving things, making noise and attempting to assault me, that is when I get back up. You can't be Mrs. Nice Girl all the time. I brought in my whole shamanic crew as I laid the new ground rules and established boundaries. At that point, I became a kickass shaman, stomping, shaking, chanting, singing and summoning power animals.

This week two DWP workers accidentally piled up a lengthy two foot high by three foot deep wall of frozen rock solid snow in our driveway. To one of them, my husband said: ‘My wife does angel work for a living and you will be cursed by God’. The driver said, Huh? We had spent the morning finishing up a clearing with Mother Mary and Archangel Michael. Standing on the pile of snow, holding a shovel with my one glove, I repeated those words, looking the DWP driver square in the eyes after an exhausting clearing, and on the verge of tears. Raven was on his way to work and parked in, so we were feeling a bit cheeky. Suddenly, our driveway was massively cleared with apologies. Next day, I flew out the door to save our principal with my speech and left all my keys inside the house. Thankfully, my friend brought two kind firemen to my aid. Just in time to deliver my speech to a board who seemed to be part of a conspiracy to dump our principal in favor of a relative of a board member. She said I raised some great points, before I grabbed her hand on my way out.

Thankfully, when I encounter active negative energy I gag, and sometimes almost vomit, whether I am clearing a person or a house. It's a good reflex, because it tells me there's more work to be done. So, I press on. Even if my timer's gone off. Employing shamanic chops, my helpers and I stripped the place of its antique glue and kicked out a dangerous ghost who did many bad deeds I do not care to name here. I came back later with my husband after some good rest. He found a couple of dense pockets remained, which confirmed my own perception, but he found it pretty damn clear as well. His questions and impressions about the history of certain areas were the same as mine, without me having shared those details. His presence on day two nlet me focus on being in a deep state of divine love, which is needed to help someone into the heavenly realms. With energy extractions or soul retrievals, there's a lot of story to be told, some mediation, bargaining, and reconciliation.

Even still, you've gotta scare the heck out of stuck spirits for them to take you seriously. They've gotta be more scared of you, than you are of them. They've gotta be more scared of you, than they are of The Unknown, and that is a tall order. That, my dear friends, is when shamanism comes in. You have got to inject the harmony and vibrations of the POWERFUL natural world into the chaos of the manmade cage of trauma, be it violence, drug addiction and compulsion, murder, rape, or sexual assault, which is at the foundation of a haunted house. Think LAVA, GALES, TSUNAMIS...Think Jaguars, Pumas, Vultures, Sharks...One must embody these energies to bring about deep change, mi amigos.

The way movies depict crossing over stuck and lost spirits is so lazy. Do people really think someone who has been trapped in a moment in time, traumatized, angry, frustrated, profoundly sad, and living off living people like a vampire is gonna respond to a brief prep talk and an invitation into the light, with the mellow cooing of an armchair medium? Not in my experience. First, there are layers of emotions, conversations and events that occurred which create the emotional glue the past clings to. The house needs a whole psychic makeover, purging, rattling, shaking down to its bare bones.

A stuck person can run the whole gamut of emotions. Unpredictability is their MO, their whole forte. If they are easy to spot they are more vulnerable, but if they can hide in the wallpaper of emotions, knit themselves into the quilt that is the collective psychic of the inhabitatnts, they can go unseen and unnoticed. People can be effected by energies in a house. People can also be possessed by their own internal demons which feed off of an addiction to alcohol or drugs. Unresolved thoughts, feelings and patterns from the past, can gravitate to people who are half checked out already. A Victorian house may contain eight generations of abuse and tragedy. Conversely, a house may contain the strength of love and light through eight generations.

People didn't know about bacteria back then. Hundreds of years of people fearing witchcraft left most effective medicinal knowledge to ancient herstory. Women who effectively treated and cured people were considered evil, in cahoots with Satan. You were suspected of practicing magic if you were female using herbs to heal people. During these dark ages of the repression natural medicine only a handful of culinary and household tonifying herbs were considered acceptable. But these common mild panacea herbs have limited efficacy.

During the Victorian age, women and babies died during and after childbirth from infection. People's religious fanaticism, belief in authoritarian and corporeal punishment and their lack of psychological and scientific understanding led to some rough dynamics. Pair that with the tragedy of losing family at sea, a constant battle with native inhabitants, repression of dancing, music and sexuality, with the fear of god's omnipotent ever watchful eye and its condemnation and judgment. You can imagine people crammed into little cold Victorian houses could be yahoos sometimes.

With the rise of the industrial age and factory farming, some people in both rural places and cities lost a lot of money. There were significant frosts, famine, lost supply ships, piracy, and generally people had many mouths to feed, which was a lot of pressure. Often times, like a human will attract similar relationship patterns again and again, so do houses. Like people, most houses evolve over time. People learn from their mistakes, generations evolve as technology evolves and as the God concept grows so does compassion, empathy, moral responsibility, community, and a sense of purpose.

***
After I helped Mary and Michael to cross over the little girl, I was visited by a whole bunch of ghosts who need help crossing over. I handed them a clipboard, drew in several columns, and told them if they could write their name down on a piece of paper, I would help. Go away and come back with a living person and we'll take it from there. These people take Doctors Without Boarders to the next level! Talk about no boundaries, these people don't even have bodies.

How do I know they are ghosts and not angels? How do I know they need crossing over? You may wonder, among other things... Well, when spirits are listless and stuck between worlds, I usually see them with shrunken skulls. It's just my brain's code for "tortured soul who wants to leave the earth but doesn't know how". Like psychic shorthand. First thought, maybe I can devote all my Sundays to crossing over lost souls? Second thought, I crossed over one girl and twenty more lost souls came my way. (Which happened the last time too.) What would happen if I crossed over these twenty? That thought is daunting, especially if your living room has ever turned into a waiting room of musty ghosts suffering various maladies at midnight.

The Wit of the Staircase

Discovered the reason we have an electric piano. Today, it is hard to imagine that I will ever play anything, but melancholy chords on my 'harpsichord', as the rain taps on our windows and slowly melts the remains of Juno on our little island paradise. I'm pretty sure the 17th century was good to me. Even if I was an inbred hemophiliac, beheaded for loving horses too much, or drown for sorcery, short but eventful lives punctuated by beautiful music and avid reading in libraries with high ceilings and large windows made it all worth while, I'm certain ;)

Master Hero is a huge fan of the Baroque sound himself, and enjoyed improvising into the night. I think he needs an outfit. Channeling messages from the angels on a snow day is the best. Happy Immolc!!! Light a candle in each window for St. Brigid, patron Saint/Goddess of artisans, smithcraft, pregnancy and the hearth. Love lighting fires in the fireplace, but ever notice how quickly real wood burns?

Our Gothic Rock Opera

After sitting in a heap of papers to be filed, hubs and I decided that we will find our rock opera, rewrite it and we shall overcome and tackle it after we file all of our paperwork. Raven's Drunk Ghost gets trapped after a drinking match (inspired by the Poe story and Little Shop of Horrors), and mine is banished by sorcery, but that could be used a later turning point or thrown out all together. I don't see why we can't graft our stories together. We are doing this asap. He has five songs, and now that I am tinkling on the piano, I want to write the others. I figured out how to play Patapan by ear a few days ago!!

"I have this disease late at night sometimes, involving alcohol and the telephone. I get drunk, and I drive my wife away with breath like mustard gas and roses. And then, speaking gravely and elegantly into the telephone, I ask the telephone operators to connect me with this friend or that one, from whom I have not heard in years." — Slaughterhouse 5, Kurt Vonnegut

We are newly inspired. We know talented musicians, seamstresses, costume designers, and makeup artists, and there are a lot of cool theaters here. This simply must be realized. In three years I moved to a new city I'd never visited, not knowing a soul, and accomplished several things I've wanted to d=for decades. I started taking photographs, co-created a festival, organized two gallery shows with performances, became a talk show DJ, was found by a literary agent who made me a contributing writer in a Llewellyn book on Spiritual Pregnancy, started learning piano and even learned some editing skills when I edited my little cable access show. After I finish this latest version of my book proposal, there's no reason why I shouldn't add a musical to my Cape Cod adventures. My first love was Shakespeare.

“Never trust a ghost who drunk dials.” That'd be a good tag line, huh?

"Thank God for this century. My out-of-body penmanship is nearly inscrutable," says the cramped Drunk Ghost typing on a broken typewriter before he tosses it to the side and presses his forehead up to the brick wall, concentrating. He shoves his face in through the bricks. From the other side of the wall, we see a screaming skull fixture over the firplace and a rotary phone RINGS inside the apartment. Flashback to: Drunk Ghost attempting to mount a confused horse in the stealth of the night. A bewildered horse trots down an empty country lane as Drunk Ghost slides off him repeatedly. A subsequent attempt to dictate a love letter through a cross and reluctant medium seated at a wooden desk, candle burning. Resistant to the words emerging from her quill, she unwittingly scrawls: "I'm madly in love with your body. Can I borrow it sometime? Like, now.” "Aaa!" Indignantly, she crumples up the paper into her fist and dashes it into the fireplace, watching it explode in flames.

The medium is a governess who can speak with those who have crossed over. This creates a lot of tension, as she tries to appear normal to her employers as she becomes a target of the inebriated apparition seeking a new body. At some point she seeks the help of the newly formed Theosophical Society to communicate with the Drunk Ghost, after which she is referred to a alcohol abstinence educator (temperance movement leader) from the Salvation Army who privately practices sorcery she learned from her Old World grandmother. She banishes Drunk Ghost to living inside the a wall in a New York manor for eternity. However, hidden inside the wall he blithely discovers a stash of absinth and sugar cubes. Lonely, and bodiless, decades pass until one day he discovers he can make the phone ring. By this time the mansion has been subdivided into apartment units. This becomes his game for generations as he attempts to coerce someone into freeing him and giving him their body. This will make a fun gothic rock opera for Cape Cod audiences, I am sure.

My Interview with late Actor and Comedian Taylor

Here is my interview with the late actor, comedian, playwright and painter Taylor Negron from July of 2013. MY INTERVIEWHe was truly the kind of articulate, edgy, hysterical, whimsical, enchanting, enlightening, deeply heartfelt, and clever bloke that you can't imagine the world without. Unique and yet the perfect conduit for disembodied muses. He lived his life in an inspired array of colors, like illegal fireworks over an exotic and improbable juxtaposition of city and country. I believe his Aurora borealis soul is visiting us all, watchfully and insightfully guiding us. Like Jesus, but hornier, funnier, and better dressed. And, he's whispering profound everythings into our ears, as we fall asleep, before he cancans and fandangos through a mangrove-swamp-filled downtown Asian marketplace. He's the place where Ramadan, Chinese New Year and Obon go to party. We love you Taylor, everywhere you are. Rock on, brother. Thanks for your Pandora's Jukebox request for Sunday night. I should always get my requests from the other side! I don't think I ever heard that one! [Disclaimer: My dead pan jokes came off as earnest, because I was so darn joyful and nervous to be interviewing him. Please, pardon my chattiness.]

Z Budapest Talks My Dark Sordid Past on Healing Wisdom

Here's something Z Budapest said about Simone De Beauvoire's ideas about the church. "...to get the men in the church they give them superiority in the over the women who are the mass majority of church attendants, they do all the work for free, but for that they get nothing but slavery." That's it! That's why patriarchal religion has been so effective. You get people to be obedient, by giving them power over others.

Here author Dr. Z Budapest, lesbian activist, feminist, and leader in the reclamation of the ancient ways of the Goddess talks about her latest book. We discuss hot button issues and her 1975 arrest for tarot reading that won rights for women to practice traditional divination and spiritual counseling. THE INTERVIEW

Dr. Budapest studied at the University of Chicago, Second City, and staffed the Women’s Center in Los Angeles during the 1960s. She is also the director of the Women’s Spirituality Forum.

The episode will be broadcast January 29th at 92.1 WOMR-fm in Provincetown and 91.3 WFMR-fm Orleans and streaming at http://womr.org

Destination: Oracle

More excerpts from what I am writing...
"The very first time I discovered my angels, it wasn’t some lah-dee-dah glittery castles in the clouds and rainbows in the heart sort of a revelation high on a Himalayan Mountain top. It wasn’t through intention that I drew psychic experience to me. Intention creates a method with which to control the communications. But with mediumship, you either have it (and hide from it) or you don’t.....

"....As a result, when you have ventured into that territory, meeting spirits half way on the bridge to the other side, your auric field becomes henceforth marked by passage openings like neon invitations. After enough journeys into what shamans call non-ordinary reality, dead people read these invitations like neon signs on the Vegas strip. “Bada Bing! Hot, Young and Willing.” “Live Seer.” “Gorgeous Oracle.” “World Class Psychic Girl.” Naturally, dead people start gravitating to you like you are a tourist destination, a refuge in a time of crisis, even a last stop on their road to nowhere.

"The afternoon my grandmother called me up from the hospital while recuperating from a hip surgery, wasn't the first time I'd been made aware of the fluidity between our world and the other side. I was thirteen and home alone. We always screened calls because of the constant barrage from bill collectors. Forced to leave a message my grandmother spoke as I listened to her in real time. “Pandora,” she gasped in a deep guttural tone, like a wolf with emphysema who had swallowed my grandmother up in one giant gulp. I reached for the receiver, but I didn’t pick it up. Like a coward I was scared shitless by the monstrousness of her voice. "Paaandooora?! I need you." she pleaded, like she was fighting for her life with Cerberus grasping at her neck. I knelt down and leaned in close to the answering machine. “Pandora, help me.” Yes, it really did sound like my grandmother's soul was being yanked out through her vagina and dragged in through a trapdoor into the Underworld.

"In chaotic confusion, her serpentine voice raised in simultaneous crescendo and throaty baritone. “Paannddoorraa……help me!" Clearly, the central heating was melting my grandmother from the inside out like a cheesy potato in a microwave. Hip surgery sucks. Maybe she needs better drugs. "They are taking me!," she yelled in a deep choppy exhale like machinery in a reverberating meat grinding factory. What the fuck are those occupational therapists doing to my grandma? I thought in paralyzed amazement. A few more Pandoras and my grandmother disconnected. I listened to the message over and over again. "Do I call her back"? I asked myself. Rewind. Stop. Play. Stop. Rewind.

"Does hell accept collect calls?" I nervously joked to myself before my dad turned the key in the front door. “Grandma called from the hospital, you should really call her back. Like soon”, I said, pale and standing hunched over gazing at the phone. “When was that?,” he said surprised, his voice soft and tired, his eyes red rimmed. “About twenty minutes ago. She sounded horrible. Like really bad.” “That’s impossible,” he said with alarm. “She did!” I insisted. “She couldn’t have because I got the call forty minutes ago that she died”, my dad informed me before bursting into tears. “I’m so sorry,” I hugged my dad and we cried together until I entertained the thought, Oh?! So, that’s why she didn’t sound so good. "How'd she die?" It was a sudden cardiac arrest. Her hip had been healing fine. She hadn’t had a heart condition. She’d been fine the day before, ready to return to the nursing home. He listened to his mother’s message into the evening, bewildered at its post-death time stamp. By morning my mom had erased it from the tape, but never from our minds.

Mystic Mulefat and the Mad Apothecary

An excerpt from something I am writing.
"By 2005, curiosity had replaced fear, a sense of adventure and admiration had replaced skepticism, but he had still never ‘seen’ anything, with the exception of a door being pounded in by an invisible presence. In many ways this day was like all the others before it. Our honeymoon with vodka and cherry juice breakfasts had faded and been replaced by a growing fascination with the natural world and alchemy. My apothecary soul had been unleashed into a mad scientist search for the perfect aphrodisiacs and third-eye opening herbal elixirs. As always, my ritual preparation for a channeling session started with sipping cherry juice infused with local sage and sage brush. I'd eaten a typical LA dinner (a composition of pea sprouts, cherimoya, avocado, and mizuna, topped with tahini and lotus root), taken a 3 ½ mile jog in Temescal Canyon and gotten to sleep by 11pm to awake at 3:30am by radio alarm clock.

That daily jog along the backbone trail that dumped my husband and I onto a pebbly creek bed of night-blooming Mulefat, had become a necessary part our urban mental health ritual. Other trails paled in comparison with my discovery of Mulefat, an indigenous plant one can only presume gained its namesake from having a reputation for putting weight on mules at some point in history. After ascertaining which plant was responsible for the intoxicating aroma, I had identified it in one of my local plant species volumes. Latin name Baccharis salicifolia, also known as Seep Willow or Water-Wally. Googling it, revealed nothing of its magical powers. Leaving me with only my euphoric impressions and later experiments, as Mulefat took up residence in my heart.

The fragrance of this magical plant had the gift to transport us, project our astral bodies beyond the bounds of our physical forms into the early evening air. But, only if we kept up the velocity in our running-descent down the mountain. My method was to run with my head and arms stalking closer and closer to the forest floor. As we got further down into the basin, the energy was so vibrant, that clarity was obfuscated by the thick realms within realms of the plant kingdom. The dim lighting could not account for such a distinct lack of visibility. One had no choice but to awaken all the senses to navigate. In such holy places, everything is alive. Dark and light are equally represented in their full grandeur. And tricksters like to role play, regardless of their anatomy, enjoying the drama of playing with the human mind.

Timid at first, my response to the intensity of this darkening trail grew bolder with time. Eventually, bounding over creekside mudflats I found myself imagining what a panther might feel as her torso stretches parallel to the ground, cooled by its emanations. Lunging forward at full speed, with muscles burning like a native cat with air born paws, sprinting through the woods, around every familiar twist and turn, giving no pause to dodge trees and roots in path. Communicating with the sonar-like-sense of forest creatures who are in telepathic resonance with the deep meditation of all leafy creatures big and small. The essence of plant medicine, calling us into the rocky bed of euphoria and propelling us out of our bodies as we reached the holy land. Our spirits in seeming defiance of gravity, similar to out-of-body travels during soulful love making. Except that unlike the latter where you and your lover tumble through the cosmos in a pulsing, rainbow-colored throbbing, creaming from every chakra, and igniting your ethereal fuses from pleasure zone to pleasure zone exploding lotuses in fireworks running through the activating electric wires of your ancient souls...your ascension via this dry creek bed of Southern Californian Mulefat is like the flight of condors off a pine tree, leaping heavenward, and soaring on the invisible hands of the wind. Blissful like ecstatic children whose joy extends through their fingertips and toes. Your full magnetic heartlights filling your entire bodies with white light and casting outward rays merging with all that is. You are upheld by the frequency of joy emanating from the Universe, your bodies running automatically, as you dodge around the large plants forming conscious silhouettes around you. The moonscape now reflective with awe.

These sorts of things are always there. The magical plants, the layers of earthly experience, the access to the astral plane. It is our perspective that changes and allows us to engage with the unknown. When we focus our attention, our world around us shifts. You can seek with your heart, soul or your mind. But often in my practice I see that when a person is seeking with his heart or soul, with the mind trudging along behind ambivalently or sometimes contumaciously. It may attempt to intervene in the soul's self discovery. Not so shockingly, in an attempt to protect the spirit from the unknown, the mind may be quick to judge. It may be quick to defend its beliefs, patterns, and territory. The mind may lure the soul and the heart away from the present moment, even from revelations and growth.

And, if conversely the mind does goes along for the ride, rolling its eyes from the backseat with the heart riding shotgun and the soul at the wheel, he may be damn surprised at what you found, when you weren't looking. With the psychic senses, one must only look in the places in between what we witness with our eyes, ears, and hands. One must confront the spaces in between what we allow ourselves to accept as tangible, possible, and safe."

January 22nd, we have notorious feminist and founder of the women's spirituality movement Z. Budapest speaking with us about her new biography! On January 29th we have choreographer and principle member of the Boston-based Vadalna Tribal Dance Company Kalidasi Burgess discussing Anandamayi belly dance and the ancient Indian temple dance called Odissi. Stay tuned to Thursday mornings at 9am ET on womr.org and locally at 92.1 WOMR-fm in Provincetown and 91.3 WFMR-fm Orleans in Massachusetts.

Dr. Seeta Narsai has a B.S. degree in Kinesiology, B.A. in Sports management and Communication, and a Doctorate in Ayurvedic Medicine at the American University of Complementary Medicine. She interned at the OBGYN department at SDM Ayurveda College in Udupi India and has also received a doula certification. Ayurvedic Dr. Seeta Narsai discusses pregnancy and postpartum health from a mind-body perspective based in ancient Ayurvedic traditions. You can here the interview HERE.

This week world renown biologist and author Rupert Sheldrake discusses his unique scientific perspective on the sixth sense and dispels many of the outdated dogmas that form the basis of the conventional scientific model. He is best known for his hypothesis of morphic fields and morphic resonance, which leads to a vision of a living, developing universe with its own inherent memory. He worked in developmental biology at Cambridge University, where he was a Fellow of Clare College. Dr. Sheldrake is known for his public trialogues with colleagues ethnobotanist/psychonaut Terrence McKenna and Chaos Mathmatician Ralph Abraham. Afterwards, toxicologist and Mayan culture authority Dr. Carl Johan Calleman continues where we left off on our discussion of the Global Mind.

On January 22nd, controversial lesbian feminist and Wiccan author Z. Budapest, whose legal battles won psychic readers religious freedom to spiritual women's wisdom traditions, will also be making a sonic appearance on Healing Wisdom discusses her biography "My Sordid Past as a Heterosexual: First Destiny". The book details her early life in WWII During Russian-occupied Hungary, her escape from the violence and bloodshed as Hungarians fought Russia and then Germany for autonomy, and her refugee life in Switzerland and later her immigration to America. In the 50s & 60s she studied Improv with Viola Spolin at Second City and worked as a model and actress in nude art films while her professor husband taught at University. The book ends when she hitchhikes to California and begins her Second Destiny.

On January 29th, in honor of the passing of Hollywood’s beloved mischief-maker, character actor extraordinaire and gifted comedian Taylor Negron, we are going to re-run my interview with him from July of 2013. In my mind he will live on the way his muses did, his work existing as a timeless portal to his quirky irreverent humor, part Oscar Wilde clever, part Groucho Marx, anarchic Dadaism. You've seen Taylor everywhere and his legacy reaches beyond the 128 roles he played for television and film. He was a skilled painter and provocative playwright as well as a beloved friend to all.

On February 5th Kalidasi Burgess, is choreographer and dancer who performs in a style she has created called, Anandamayi Bellydance (Bliss-permeated in Sanskrit), drawing from Odissi style classical Indian temple dance and infusing it with mythological story and archetypal energy to drive physical movements. Kali draws deep from the long, expressive postures of Modern dance, the earthy, serpentine energy of tribal bellydance, and the devotional aspect of classical Indian dance.
